When you say think of Ariana Grande's style, super high ponytails, jumper dresses and knee high boots come to mind. The singer has come a long way on her style journey though - from the cutesy prom-style dresses and red hair she showcased during her Nickelodeon days to the ultra fashion pieces she wears today.
As the ‘Positions’ singer turns 30 today (26 June) we take a look at her style evolution and how she has become one of the biggest singing sensations in the world.

Even away from her character and on the red carpet Ariana would often wear the same style of dress, her red hair would be down in either straight or curled style and minimal makeup. She was still a teenager at the time so the style was age appropriate.
It was around 2013 that celebrity hairstylist Josh Liu gave Ariana her now signature high-pony hairstyle. The ‘No Tears Left to Cry’ singer’s hair would be slicked back off her face and into a gravity-defying ponytail. But her style was still not quite hitting the mark wearing Moschino mini dresses.
It was 2016 when the ‘One More Time’ singer started to wear more elegant and sophisticated dresses. Ariana channelled Marilyn Monroe as she performed on stage at MTV Movie Awards, April 2016 in a satin pink gown and faux fur wrap.

Who can forget her stepping out to the 2020 Grammys in the grey Giambattista Valli tulle dress and matching opera gloves. Styled by the one and only Law Roach who also worked with Zendaya before he sensationally quit as a celebrity fashion stylist in 2023.
2020 brought stylist Mimi Cuttrell who has helped Ariana cut a more sophisticated and stylish demure. Mimi - who also styles model Gigi Hadid and actress Maude Apatow - tends to dress the ‘Rain On Me’ singer in more muted tones but still has fun now and then with splashes of bold colour. However, it's the toned down outfits that has given Ariana her edge and sets her apart as a style icon away from the prom dresses circa 2013.
Of course it’s not just her style that has evolved. The winged eyeliner is still well and truly part of her signature look and the rest of her makeup although still minimal is flawless.

From acting, to singing, to beauty empire giving her an estimated net worth of $240 million. It's hard to believe Ariana has only just turned 30.
