Move over ‘Tomato Girl’ there's a new food colour taking over our Instagram feeds and it’s called Banana Milk.

That’s right, the hint of yellow shade is the most unlikely colour that will be everywhere next season. Yellow isn’t the most flattering of shades for any skin type but is already becoming a firm favourite with influencers

Forget neon brights and mustard tones (although still a firm favourite) it’s all about the delicate hues of springtime daffodils and milky soft banana shakes hues.

Michelle Yeoh looked stunning in a pale yellow maxi dress when she attended the Balenciaga Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2023/2024 event for Paris fashion week. S Club 7 star Rachel Stevens is also a fan of the Banana Milk as she was recently spotted wearing the 'It Colour' of the season in Linen blend-jacket by Zara which is currently sold out.

Eagle-eyed fashionistas would have noticed the celebrities that have already started to embrace the shade as Pippa Mathews (Middleton) and Queen Rania of Jordan attending the King's Coronation wearing Banana milk dresses.

Pippa wore the shade when attending The Championships at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in Wimbledon with husband James Matthews in July. She wore a lemon yellow Broderie Anglaise dress by the designer Luisa Kelsey (£355)

Although yellow feels like a summer outfit kinda colour, fashion site Who What Wear predicts that everyone will be wearing it throughout the Autumn months.

It will definitely brighten up your wardrobes and as the Banana Milk shade has just a subtle hint of yellow it can easily be added to your neutral palette.

It’s definitely giving us Kate Hudson in ‘How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days’ vibes and we are always on board with that dress.
