Met Gala 2023: The best dressed stars on the red carpet Salma Hayek, Anne Hathaway and Dua Lipa

The Met Gala 2023 is the night all fashionistas have been waiting for. The biggest night of the fashion calendar is held every year on the first Monday in May and this year's theme is in honour of the late Karl Lagerfeld with ‘Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty.’

The attendees did not disappoint at this year’s annual fundraiser. There was a very black-and-white, monochrome theme throughout the night in homage to Karl’s iconic style. Along with floral designs, pearls and bow accessories.  

The red carpet was flooded with A-List celebrities wearing the most luxurious designer brands. Dripping in signature Chanel-style pearls, where Karl was creative director. 

Top of our best-dressed list is Dua Lipa the singer looked stunning in a white ball gown that cinched in at the waist and with black trim detail. The dress is a 1992 Chanel 1992 Haute Couture, originally worn by Claudia Schiffer. The singer accessorised with a 100 carat diamond necklace from Tiffany’s that reportedly cost $10 million.

Paris Hilton arrived to her first ever Met Gala in a black long-sleeve Bardot leather gown by Marc Jacobs. A large floral choker and extreme platform shoes.

Halle Bailey, the star of the new live-action version of The Little Mermaid, looked sophisticated in a white lace halter neck dress. The actress gave us old Hollywood vibes with an extravagant oversized wrap that draped round her. 

Kim Kardashian stunned in diamonds and pearls in New York as she arrived closely followed by Kylie Jenner and sister Kendall Jenner

Anne Hathaway wore an elegant ivory and gold strapless dress with a Chanel baroque tweed design. The large split down the front of the dress was held together with gold Versace style pins. 

Salma Hayek opted for a show-stopping strapless red gown with delicate pearl detail that draped over her shoulders. A red layered ruffle skirt and lace underskirt.
