Cannes 2023: Why were Jourdan Dunn and Heidi Klum the best and worst dressed at La Passion de Dodin Bouffant?

My colleague Benjamin Jackson won’t be happy with me, but it was all about the fashion at the premiere of La Passion de Dodin Bouffant at the Cannes Film Festival 2023, rather than the film (yet again!). Unfortunately this time around, there were definitely more fashion nots rather than fashion hots, but let's start off with the best dressed!
Let's commence with supermodel Jourdan Dunn who takes the crown for best dressed. She chose an ice blue coloured (a very on trend shade as I have written about before), Elie Saab dress. On her Instagram, Jourdan wrote: “dress is @eliesaabworld but it’s my world I’m living in.”

Fans were quick to share their appreciation of her gown on her Instagram. One wrote: “I threw my phone,” whilst another said: “I’m telling my kids this is Cinderella.”
Australian model Shanina Shaik is also on my best dressed list at the La Passion de Dodin Bouffant premiere, she opted for a royal blue Nicolas Jeran SS23 couture dress, featuring a thigh-high split. I also am a fan of model Lais Ribeiro’s dress (another one who opted for ice blue) and model Jasmine Tookes dazzled in dark gold.
Now onto my worst dressed list, and unfortunately for supermodel Heidi Klum, she takes top spot. When I first saw the photographs of Heidi in her yellow Zuhair Murad dress, I thought how is it possible for such a beautiful woman to make the most appalling fashion choices over and over again.
You may disagree with me and think I am being too harsh, but believe me I am not. Clearly she wanted to attract attention as her breasts were very much on display thanks to the daring cut out detail along the chest. Along with this and the thigh-high leg split, the whole look was (in my opinion) the epitome of bad taste.

I promise you Heidi it is nothing personal, but if you have a stylist, you need to let him/her down gently and employ someone new! I am most certainly a fan of anyone wearing whatever they want, but I do feel that Heidi really does not need to flaunt her body in such an obvious and quite frankly, tacky way.
Now from Heidi Klum to Kate Beckinsale. My decision to place Kate Beckinsale on the worst dressed list might prove controversial as some have written that she looked incredible. However, her green jewelled bodysuit and skirt was wrong on so many levels. It was too see-through and was the antithesis of chic and stylish.
Lady Victoria Hervey is another ‘star,’ who failed to impress on the red carpet. If you are like me wondering why Lady Victoria Hervey is always at the events, you are not alone. She opted for a heavily embellished jumpsuit with a sheer cape. It was just ‘too too much’ and the long sheer gloves only made the outfit worse, not better!
