The collection is held annually and outside the traditional fashion show schedule which are the months of September, February, and June for the Haute Couture shows. According to Drapers the show aims to showcase artisanal skills of over 600 specialist craftsmen including embroiderers, goldsmiths, shoemakers, milliners, and leather workers. Based in Le19M in Porte d’Aubervilliers, in Northern Paris.

The Métiers d'art collection has previously been showcased in Dakar, New York City and Tokyo. With its next stop being Mancherster on Thursday 9 December. The exact location has not yet been confirmed however it may be the Factory International, which was opened in June 2023. It is the most significant public investment in a cultural project since the Tate Modern.

Manchester may seem like an odd location especially as the UK’s fashion week is held in London every year and has been since 1983. But fashion-wise Manchester has so much to offer and is filled with fashion history that it’s more of a surprise why there haven't been fashion shows there before.

The northern city built its wealth on the cotton and textile industry in the 19th century - something which Chanel will most likely acknowledge. As well as being home to Britpop music with bands such as Oasis and Happy Mondays, and the infamous Haçienda nightclub of the 80s-90s. Supermodel Agyness Deyn who has walked many catwalks for Chanel is originally from Manchester. Along with The Crown actress Claire Foy and House of Dragon’s Oliva Cooke.

We are sure to see British supermodel Naomi Campbell after she was spotted at the Chanel show in Dakur. Maybe even Kate Moss and Cara Delevingne will be seen on the front row at the fashion show in December. Chanel ambassadors Kristen Stewart, Jennie from BLACKPINK and Margaret Qualley may also make an appearance.

As there is no official location tickets aren’t available just yet but we will keep you updated on when tickets for the show go on sale as we will definitely be at the front of the queue.
