Florence Pugh has certainly become somewhat of a fashion-forward queen on the red carpet and certainly knows how to command attention. After all, nobody could ignore her at the Baftas 2023 when she arrived in a bright orange Nina Ricci gown.

Although Florence knows how to attract attention in her glamorous dresses, she seems to be at the forefront of the red carpet crop top trend. At the premiere of A Good Person, she wowed in business style grey checked trousers and a sparkly black crop top.

What was particularly striking about the black crop top was that she also wore opera-style black gloves (also very on trend) that were attached to her crop top.

There was also fabric draped from the gloves that fell onto the floor.

Florence has worn cropped tops on the red carpet on more than one occasion. For the opening of Tiffany & Co’s Brand Exhibition-Vision & Virtuosity at the Saatchi Gallery in London last year, she looked sensational in a black lace crop top and matching skirt. She also wore black sheer gloves.

Florence not only wears cropped tops on the red carpet but also to glamorous events such as Paris Fashion Week. For her outfit to the Valentino Womenswear Fall Winter 2023-2024 show, she managed to slay two fashion trends.

Not only did she wear a long sleeved crop top but went for a barely there sheer skirt (this look is very of the moment).

Emma Raducanu at the Met Gala 2021 in Chanel

Emma Raducanu made her Met Gala Debut in 2021 which certainly did not disappoint. She wowed in monochrome separates from Chanel’s Resort 2022 collection. What made the cropped Chanel look even more spectacular was the pearl belt that she wore underneath it. Emma had literally gone straight from being crowned US Open champion to the Met Gala and became a fashion sensation overnight.

Vanessa Kirby at The Oscars 2021 in Gucci

Actress Vaness Kirby looked divine at the 2021 Oscars in a custom Gucci silk pale pink dress that looked more like a cropped top and skirt than a gown. What made it appear so was the cropped bodice part which showed a tiny bit of skin.

Although Vanessa’s look is a cropped style dress rather than a cropped top, it is definitely worthy of being added to the best cropped top looks worn by A-list stars.

Model Lily-Rose Depp (the daughter of Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis) wore head-to-toe Chanel to the 2021 Met Gala. The cropped pink bustier top featured delicate flower decorations and the skirt matched the overall look. It was a big hit on the red carpet and it is easy to see why she was considered one of the best dressed on the night.
