What were the best red carpet looks of 2022?

There were so many celebrities who brought their A–game to the red carpet in 2022. Although awards season always equals glamorous outfits, I think 2022 was particularly glitzy because it was a return to live events after the pandemic prohibited them for two years.

Although there are many celebrities who looked incredible on the red carpet in 2022, these are the celebrities that PeopleWorld think nailed it this year.

Zendaya

Wow, Zendaya certainly looked incredible on the red carpet in 2022. One of my favourite outfits of hers this year was the strapless black Valentino gown she wore to the Emmy Awards. She was styled by stylist to the stars, Law Roach, and her accessories included a black ribbon headband and a Bulgari choker.

For the Oscars, Zendaya had a look of ‘90s Sharon Stone about her and opted for a Valentino silk blouse tucked into a silver sequined skirt. It was so stylish, and so was Zendaya. In order not to detract from her outfit, Zendaya went for a soft up do style.

For her accessories, she chose tacks of Bulgari Serpenti Viper single and double-coil bracelets on both her arms and wrists.

Timonthee Chalamat

Timonthee Chalamat was certainly the King of the red carpet in 2022. For the Oscars, he went for a black beaded Louis Vuitton suit and decided to go shirtless. However, his most memorable red carpet outfit of the year has to be the incredible red metallic halter-neck top by Haider Ackermann with matching red trousers that he wore to celebrate his film ‘Bones and All’ at the Venice International Film Festival in September.

Florence Pugh

Florence Pugh has certainly cemented her status as a fashion goddess in 2022. PeopleWorld featured her on her hot list when she wowed the crowd in a delicate pink Rodarte silk satin slip dress with matching cape at the British Independent Film Awards.

Lupita Nyong’o

Although actress Lupita Nyong’o was not nominated for the 2022 Oscars, she still guaranteed that all eyes were on her when she attended the event in an incredible Prada gown, embellished with sequins and beaded flowers. I simply adored it. It was so feminine and very chic.

Blake Lively

The theme for the 2022 Met Gala was ‘In America: An Anthology of Fashion’ and the dress code was ‘Gilded Glamour.’ Actress Blake Lively definitely made sure she adhered to the dress code by turning up in an Atelier Versace design, inspired by New York City. She walked up the Met museum steps hand in hand with husband Ryan Reynolds, wearing a rose gold gown with an oversized bow.

According to Harper’s Bazaar, “the bow on the skirt was then untied to reveal a cascading blue train, the design of which was inspired by the constellation decor at Grand Central station.”

Her dress was nothing short of a fashion triumph and it ensured nobody could take her eyes off her or the gown. What more could you ask for at a red carpet event?
