Why are Taylor Swift’s bestie’s the Haim sisters fronting Louis Vuitton’s Fall 2023 fashion campaign?

Taylor Swift’s bestie’s, girl band Haim, are stepping into their own with a new fashion collaboration with luxury French fashion house Louis Vuitton. 

The band made, up of sisters Este, Danielle and Alana, debuted in the brand's new fall 2023 fashion campaign. WWD explained that since attending their first Louis Vuitton fashion show in March 2022 the band have developed a strong relationship with the brand's artistic director of women’s collections, Nicolas Ghesquière.

In a statement Haim said “We are huge fans of Nicolas — as a great friend and an incredible designer — so we were so excited when he asked us to be part of this campaign. We saw the show in March which is always an amazing experience but then stepping into the looks, it really felt like becoming characters in his ‘French story’ — feeling empowered by the elegant yet strong designs.”

Why are Haim fronting Louis Vuitton Fall 2023 campaign?

The trio are clearly fans of the brand after having been spotted wearing items from the luxe fashion house at huge events including the Oscars, BAFTAS and the LA premiere of the Barbie movie. Emma Stone, who has been a brand ambassador for the fashion house since 2017 will also star in the Fall 2023 campaign.

The choice for Haim to be fronting the Fall campaign for the brand may seem odd to some but the trio have forged strong links with the fashion industry over the past few years. They have worn outfits from Chloé and Dior and previously collaborated with Los Angeles based brand Reformation who have become known for their ‘quiet luxury’ aesthetic.

Who are the Haim sisters? 

The Haim sisters are an American Rock band based in LA and released their debut album ‘Days Are Gone' in 2013. Their best selling singles are Summer, The Wire and Want You Back. 

They are bestie’s with pop sensation Taylor Swift. Their friendship first came to light after the 2016 Met Gala event when the band and Taylor shared a pic of themselves eating pizza and wearing matching onesies. 

In 2022 during their London for their ‘One Last Haim tour’ the band performed "Love Story/Gasoline” with Taylor. The group and Tay-Swift all wore matching outfits and the ‘Copy Paste’ TikTok video clip will have you in stitches. 

In a hilarious story the next day the media described the ‘mystery drunk woman’ as the woman who stole the show - turns out it was that band's bassist Este.
