Ladies Day Aintree Best and Worst Dressed: Zara Tindall stands out for the right reasons

Unfortunately there is no official dress code when it comes to The Grand National.

Unfortunately, there were plenty of outfits competing when it came to the worst dressed at Ladies Day Aintree. Zara Tindall however looked chic in a pastel pink trouser suit by Me + Em, a pink fascinator from Camilla Rose, a Cefinn top, shoes by Emmy and Hector Lion ‘Luberon nid d’abeille’ pearl earrings.

Zara Tindall was not only joined by her husband Mike Tindall but also by their 12-year-old daughter Mia Tindall. The issue with The Grand National is that there is no official dress code which is not great for those who are not confident when it comes to their fashion choices.

According to Aintree Racecourse’s website, “At Aintree Racecourse we believe racing should be enjoyed by anyone and everyone. And one thing is certainly true, the more relaxed and comfortable we feel, the more likely we are to have a great time. So that’s why we’ve created one very simple piece of guidance, to come “dressed to feel your best”.

“We’re all unique, and no more so than in our sense of style and comfort. For some, wearing a nice sweatshirt, pair of jeans and clean trainers is what makes them feel confident and at-ease. For others, they might prefer to turn heads with a sharp suit or glamorous dress and high heels, particularly for one of our big race meetings.”

I do understand the idea behind The Grand National’s ‘no official dress’ code but unfortunately I think this allows more fashion mistakes to be made than need to be.
