After Liam Gallagher’s new £130 LG Rambler shoes from Clarks went live, they sold out within just two minutes.

They have proved to be so popular that fans have already put some of the shoes on eBay for almost double the price.

The collaboration between Liam and Clarks seemed to be an obvious choice as Liam has long been a fan of the brand.

He has often been seen wearing the Wallabee and Desert Trek designs.

The LG Rambler shoes feature Liam’s face on the heel and the LG and Clarks branding feature on the lace tags.

Clarks describe Liam as someone “who has been wearing Clarks since the birth of Britpop way back in the 90s-donning classic from the Desert Boot and Wallabee to the Desert Rain and Ashton on and off stage.”

When news broke that Liam was working with Clarks, there was some criticism of him. “It doesn’t exactly fit with this idea of him being a rock star,” one source said.

Liam has described the LG Ramber ‘ the old school rambler, mixed together with the Clarks Lugger, which is an amazing shoe with a crepe sole.’ He went on to say that ‘for years I’ve been scrambling around eBay trying to get a pair of ramblers.

"And now I’ve got my own version-I’m buzzing.’

It is also reported that the shoes are laredy being resold online for more than twice as much.

Some posts on eBay have the shoes listed for around £300.

The shoe is made in Portugal, and has an upper made of supple suede and leather detailing.

A Clarks statemet on their website reads: 'A long-time fan of Clarks Originals, ex-Oasis front-man Liam Gallagher worked with us to create his own version of the Desert Boot – with a rounder toe and lower profile heel – as part of his Pretty Green clothing label.'
