You only have to scroll through Instagram to see that the ‘IT’ bag of the summer is Loewe's beige raffia basket bag. It has been seen on the arms of celebrities, influencers and fashionistas, and now data from The Lyst Index Q2 (second quarter of the year) report shows LOEWE is the number one hottest fashion brand - but we already knew that.
The Lyst Index is a quarterly ranking of fashion’s hottest brands and products. Lyst is a fashion technology company and premium shopping app, used by more than 200 million people each year. The formula behind The Lyst Index takes into account Lyst shopper's behaviour, including searches on and off platform, product views and sales.

The previous first quarter report showed LOEWE at number five behind Valentino, Moncler, Miu Miu and Italian fashion house Prada at the number one spot. This quarter sees Prada coming second and Versace third.
Who are LOEWE?
LOEWE is one of the world's major luxury houses, founded in 1846 in Spain, and today under the creative direction of Jonathan Anderson. The brand has climbed up 13 places over the last 12 months to take the number one spot for the first time.
According to the data, searches for LOEWE have increased by 19% and this may be due to the explosion of the ‘quiet luxury trend’. With over 172 million mentions on TikTok thanks to Gwyneth Paltrow’s court outfits and the TV series Succession. Lyst data shows that shoppers are embracing the aesthetic.

Of course the ‘IT’ bag Loewe's beige raffia basket bag (£450) was number four on the list but we expect it to be higher in the Q3 report.
Breakout brands were Goyard (Mini Anjou tote bag), Posse (Alice linen mini dress) and Loro Piana (Babouche suede mules) as seen on the likes of A$AP Rocky, Sofia Richie and Gigi Hadid are all brands to watch or at least start investing in now.
