Victoria and David Beckham and Britney Spears and then boyfriend Justin Timberlake were just two of the big name stars who were rocking iconic matching outfits back in the day. However, 2022 is all about Kourtney Kardashian and husband Travis Baker and a number of other A-list celebrities.

There is an obvious reason why Kourtney Kardashian and husband Travis Barker were given the nickname of ‘Kravis’ by their legions of fans. As their relationship progressed, it would seem that the couple were very much in sync when it came to the way they dressed.

At the recent GQ Men of the Year Party at The West Hollywood EDITION, the couple looked like they had spent ages liaising with their stylists to ensure their look was ‘matchy matchy’ perfection. Kourtney wore a daringly low cut black jumpsuit with a mesh and sequin tuxedo blazer, picked out for her by stylists Dani Michelle and Chris B. Kim. Travis made sure he was a mirror image of her in a black leather motorcycle jacket and an oversized faux-fur maxi coat.

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky know all about the 2022 ‘matchy matchy’ trend as they were certainly on point when they turned up to the premiere of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever in matching tonal outfits.

Other high profile ‘matchy matchy’ 2022 couples include J-Lo and Ben Affleck. We all know this couple have been around for a while in terms of their relationship history. After all, the pair originally dated way back in 2002 before rekindling their romance in April 2021. However, they seem more in tune with each other in 2022 and have shown this through their choice of matching outfits. They were pictured at the Ralph Lauren SS23 runway show in California in coordinating black ensembles.

From one slightly ‘older’ A-list couple to very much a younger one… Billie Eilish and boyfriend Jesse Rutherford made a definite fashion and couple statement by making their red carpet debut in matching Gucci pyjamas. The pair certainly attracted attention not only for their matching pjs, but for cuddling up with a matching Gucci blanket too.

It would seem even the Royals are getting in on the ‘matchy matchy’ trend in 2022. Although all eyes were on Catherine, Princess of Wales, when she stepped out in a stunning tweed blue Chanel jacket in October, one couldn’t help but notice that her husband, Prince William also seemed to have consulted her on his choice of wardrobe. He made sure he was in tune by dressing in a navy suit and blue shirt.
