Why Sienna Miller’s ‘Little Black Dress’ is the perfect Christmas party outfit inspiration

When I saw the photographs of Sienna Miller wearing a very ‘sexy’ little black dress to a Moet & Chandon event in New York, it got me thinking. Until recently, I always used to have some style of black dress that I would pull out of my wardrobe given the right opportunity.

However, it would seem the pandemic and lack of work events or parties has meant that the LBD was regulated to the back of my wardrobe. Perhaps Sienna’s LBD will serve as an inspiration not only to me but for all of those of you looking for party outfit ideas?

As always, Sienna looked stunning at the Moet & Chandon event. She opted for a very short black mini dress with a round cut-out at the front. She wore her hair long and opted for minimal accessories. Sienna’s dress was by Nensi Dojaka’s Spring/Summer 23 show.

However, one thing that was striking about Sienna’s appearance (other than the LBD) were her tights! One leg featured a vertical strip of lace and both legs featured foot holes with double strings.

Aleesha Dixon and actress Jenna Coleman are both fans of black dresses as they both wore them to the British Independent Film Awards 2022. Alesha’s backless dress was covered with gold chain detailing and she accessorised the look with a gold clutch bag.

Actress Jenna Coleman looked equally as glamorous in a black dress with a lace bodice. Her emerald drop earrings worked perfectly with the gown and she opted for matching heels.

Hollywood star Reese Witherspoon also rocked a little LBD at the recent Los Angeles Premiere of Prime Video’s ‘Something From Tiffany’s. She finished off her look with high black stilettos.

One other star who knows the power of the black dress is influencer Kylie Jenner. She looked incredible in a corset gown and headpiece from the ‘90s to honour Thierry Mugler at an exhibition in his honour at the Brooklyn Museum.
