From Lady Gaga to Jennifer Aniston and Venus Williams, a look at the most stylish SAG dresses over the years

If the Baftas 2023 was anything to go by, there are bound to be stand out dresses on the red carpet when it comes to this year’s SAG Awards. It would seem that when it comes to fashion, big name stars are most certainly embracing glamour in 2023

Hollywood stars might be keen on ‘embracing glamour’ this year and in 20222 as a reaction to not being able to in the last couple of years due to covid restrictions. In 2021, the SAG Awards were held virtually and stars accepted their awards from home on a virtual red carpet.

As excitement builds about what the red carpet will bring when it comes to the SAG Awards 2023, PeopleWorld takes the opportunity to look back at some of the chicest dresses from the ceremony over the years.

Lady Gaga is one such star who looked absolutely breathtaking at the 2022 SAG Awards. She dazzled in a custom white Armani Privé strapless gown with a plunging neckline. She was styled by Sandra Amador and Tom Eerebout, they were also responsible for her press tour for the ‘House of Gucci.’

Another big Hollywood star who dressed to impress at the 2022 SAG Awards was Venus Williams. Venus looked ultra chic in a white custom  Dolce & Gabbana outfit which she teamed with white sandals. The outfit consisted of a silver bustier bodysuit with a skirt and high slit.

When it came to the 2020 SAG Awards, one of the stand out looks from the night had to be Zoe Kravitz’s dress. She channelled Audrey Hepburn in a strapless peach Oscar de la Renta dress with opera style gloves, which shows that the current trend for them in 2023 started back in 2020!

Actress Margaret Qualley, the daughter of Andie MacDowell, went for a striking wool Chanel trouser suit that made her stand apart from other stars for all the right fashion reasons.. The actresses' stylists Jill Lincoln + Jordan Johnson told British Vogue that “Margaret Qualley is the girl we all want to be, or be friends with.”

Jennifer Aniston always looks effortlessly elegant on the red carpet and the 2020 SAG Awards were no exception. She chose a white vintage Christian Dior by John Galliano gown that was a departure from her usual choice of black.

When it comes to the outfits for the 2023 SAG Awards, sustainability is set to the forefront of everyone’s minds so expect to see a lot of dresses reworked from previous years on the red carpet.
