E3 2021: schedule, announcements to expect, and games revealed so far for Nintendo, Xbox and Sony Playstation

The gaming world will be focusing its attention on the E3 gaming conference over the next three days, as developers show off the next generation of video games to be released.

The 2021 conference is all digital, so anyone will be able to tune in via the official E3 channels on YouTube, Twitch and Twitter to watch the showcases.

E3 2021 dates are 12 - 15 June. Although some of the 2021 events have fallen outside of the official E3 schedule, there are still plenty of developer showcases packed together to make it a must watch.

Here’s all you need to know about the schedule for E3 2021. All the times listed are British Standard Time (BST).

Monday 14 June

Take-Two Interactive - 6:15pm

The team behind Take-Two Interactive will be hosting a panel discussion, with little known about what will be discussed. The publisher owns large chunks of the video game market, so the panel could give insight on a host of upcoming releases including Rockstar’s GTA 5, 2K Games Bioshock 4, or what Firaxis has been working on since the release of XCOM 2.

Razer - 10:00pm

Gaming tech giant Razer will be hosting its first ever E3 keynote event on Monday 14 June. The computer maker has touted that its “an ultimate line-up not to be missed”.

Capcom - 10:30pm

The team behind Monster Hunter Stories and Resident Evil have confirmed they will be giving a special presentation on Monday 14 June. The showcase will focus on The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles, Monster Hunter Stories 2 and Resident Evil Village.

Tuesday 15 June

Nintendo Showcase - 5:00pm

After missing their showcase in 2020, Nintendo are returning for a 40 minute showcase at E3 2021. The presentation is said to feature information on upcoming Nintendo Switch games “mainly releasing in 2021”.

Bandai Namco - 10:25pm

A late entry into the schedule, and it is still not confirmed what they will be presenting. However, it will be likely they will be showing off Elden Ring, the upcoming title that’s being worked on with the help of George R.R. Martin.

GameSport Play for All Showcase - 11:35pm

GameSpot will be hosting a special showcase where over 20 games will have the spotlight shone on them. The games have been created by “diverse teams that aim to speak to important themes, create uplifting experiences, or explore subject matter that is often missing from big-budget titles”.

The stream will be available on YouTube and Twitch.

E3 2021 Awards - 12:35pm

The E3 Awards will be held on Tuesday (14 June) evening. The awards are selected by the ESA and editors from the world’s leading media outlets .
