What has Three said?

Three acknowledged there was an issue with the network just after 7.30am this morning (14 October).

In a statement on Twitter, the company said: “We’re currently experiencing technical issues with some calls.

“Please accept our apologies if you’ve been affected by this, our engineers are working hard to fix it.

Three has also been responding to complaints from customers on Twitter who have reported that they cannot make or receive calls, or send or receive text messages.

Mobile users contacted the ThreeUKsupport Twitter account to log the problems.

The bulk of the complaints suggest that making phone calls was the main issue, while a small number reported problems with mobile internet.

Users wrote: “@ThreeUKSupport my phone won’t call out or receive calls. Is there an issue with the network as texts and messaging are working fine.”

“@ThreeUKSupport is there issues with calling and receiving phone calls again? I can’t seem to call anyone…”

“@ThreeUKSupport can’t make or receive call. I keep getting server error message. Everything else is working fine. Any ideas ?. Thanks.”

In response, Three said it is “experiencing an issue with calls at the moment”, adding that it is working to have the network “up and running as soon as possible”.

The outage comes as Instagram crashed for users again, with people reporting being unable to use the app on Thursday (14 October).

It follows an outage from Snapchat on Wednesday (13 October), which left users unable to access the app for around four hours, while last week saw all Facebook owned apps crash for around seven hours, including WhatsApp and Instagram.
