The new additions were added to the list on Wednesday (30 June) and do not require travellers to quarantine on their return to the UK. However, all of the destinations, with the exception of Malta, have been placed on the government’s ‘watch list’, meaning they are at risk of being moved back onto the amber list at short notice. If you are planning a trip abroad, here are 12 new green list countries and islands you can travel to and their entry requirements for tourists.
1. Anguilla
Tourists require prior approval from the government’s Health Team to visit Anguilla, which can be applied for online. As part of the process, a negative PCR Covid test must be taken three to five days before the planned date of your arrival. Rapid PCR tests and rapid antigen tests will not be accepted. Fully vaccinated visitors must self-isolate for seven days on arrival, while those who are not vaccinated must self-isolate for 10 to 14 days. Photo: Shutterstock
2. Antigua and Babuda
No travellers can enter who have spent the preceding 14 days in Brazil, India, or South Africa. All air arrivals aged 12 and over must provide a negative PCR Covid test taken seven days before travel. Further health screening is in place on arrival, including temperature checks. Arriving passengers who are allowed to stay in their private homes or at a government facility will be required to wear a monitoring bracelet according to the Quarantine Authority regulations. 3. Balearic Islands (Formentera, Ibiza, Mallorca, Menorca)
All arrivals must present a certificate or document certifying vaccination against Covid-19, or a negative test taken 48 hours prior to arrival to enter the Balearic Islands. Before travel, all passengers travelling by air or sea must complete and sign an online Health Control Form no more than 48 hours prior to travel declaring any known history of exposure to Covid-19. 4. Barbados
UK travellers must present a negative PCR Covid test result on arrival, taken no more than three days before travel, and must submit an Embarkation/Disembarkation (ED) card 24 hours prior to travel, to which they should upload their negative test result via Travel Form, or the BIMSafe app. Photo: Shutterstock
