Acting legend, Demi Moore, is embracing the sexagenarian era as she turns 60

Demi Moore is embracing the sexagenarian era as she turns 60 today, Friday 11th November 2022.

The actress spoke in July of how she ‘feels more alive and present than ever’ and is feeling liberated. She looks incredible at any age, let alone in her sixth decade, and has posted an image of herself on Instagram looking toned and happy in a white swimsuit from her fashion range, Andie.

She’s a multi-talented performer with an impressive catalogue of film classics such as St Elmo’s Fire, A Few Good Men, Indecent Proposal, Disclosure, Striptease and her Saturn Award and Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress for the role of Molly Jensen in Ghost (1990), alongside Patrick Swayze.

“You hit 59 and you’re thinking, ‘Well, I’m going to be 60’. It feels very liberating. When I think of my grandmother at 60, she in a way seemed to be already resigned to being old. But I feel, in so many ways, more alive and present than ever,” she said to People.

“It’s changing this idea that women become less desirable as we get older,” she continued. “We don’t want to look matronly or not feel sexy.”

Demi has forged her own path throughout her life and career. When she played Erin Grant in Striptease in 1996, Demi became the highest-paid actress in film history when she received an unprecedented $12.5 million.

She has three daughters with her second husband, the actor Bruce Willis, who she wed in 1987 and divorced in 2000. She was married to third husband, also an actor, Ashton Kutcher from 2005 until 2013.

Moore writes and acts, her 2019 memoir Inside Out was a New York Times bestseller, and has been described as a ‘forthright revelation of hard-won survival’.

When you see images of Moore today, she looks like a woman thriving, not just surviving. She credits her daily exercise as helping her stay in shape.

Her sense of fun and good humour was in full display when she starred alongside her ex-husband’s new wife, Mila Kunis (38), for a commercial for Super Bowl in early 2022. The women both mistakenly believed they were about to be presented with the award for Most Admired Alum only for the superlative to be given to someone else. The two actresses went to the same school, Fairfax High School in Los Angeles.
