Will Jisoo’s recent positive COVID-19 test mean the band will forego their Japan and Australian tour dates?

Not a moment before BLACKPINK are set to perform in Japan as part of their ‘Born Pink’ world tour, news has emerged that one of the members of the group, Jisoo, has tested positive for COVID-19. The group's management team, YG Entertainment, announced the news through BLACKPINK’s Weverse page, but for those worried if the tour will not commence, fear not.

In the exact same post, YG Entertainment detailed that the ‘Born Pink’ tour will still go ahead, just for the time being without Jisoo until she has recovered from the illness and finally tests negative. Though COVID-19 restrictions around the world have been loosened since the heyday of the pandemic, it’s reassuring to know BLACKPINK and their management are acting responsibly in this situation.

The dates affected, if we remember our COVID-19 restrictions correctly, means that Jisoo would miss out on the dates in Osaka, Japan and potentially their shows in Melbourne, Australia on June 10 and 11 and potentially even their Sydney dates on June 16 and 17.

Fear not though, UK BLACKPINK fans - we don’t want to jinx it, but we think (and hope) that Jisoo will be ready for their one and only performance in London this year, as part of the BST Hyde Park series of summer concerts - with Rose, Jennie Kim and the other members taking over the royal park on July 2 2023.

쾌유를 빌어요, Jisoo!

Where can I get tickets to see BLACKPINK in London?

Believe it or not, there are still tickets to BLACKPINK’s show at BST Hyde Park this year; tickets are available through the official BST Hyde Park website, with a variety of options including Premium ticking packages for those who prefer to listen to their K-Pop in the lap of luxury.
