Shrugging off the poor reviews for his HBO series, The Weeknd’s two nights at London Stadium begins this evening

While one Canadian hip-hop star has kicked off his tour in Chicago this week, and a beef taking centre stage at the same time, another has arrived to the UK for a two night stand at the London Stadium. The Weeknd looks to shrug off the overwhelmingly negative reviews for his performance in HBO’s “The Idol” and returns to the format we love him for - music.

Taking place across this evening and tomorrow, The Weeknd’s “After Hours Til Dawn” Tour, which is focusing on his most recent album, “Dawn FM,” sold out within minutes upon the announcement, with according to Ticketmaster only a few hospitality packages left - if you have the money however to afford such a luxury.

The entire North American saw sell out shows across its entire stretch, with Abel Tesfaye’s performing at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium the centrepiece of his other, less talked about HBO special, “The Weeknd: Live at SoFi Stadium.” Footage from that performance hopefully might wash the bad taste left by his role as Tedros Tedros in the much maligned other HBO show, as love him or loathe him, he knows how to command a crowd.

Support for both London shows comes in the form of Kaytranda, who gained significant attention with his debut album "99.9%" released in 2016, which received critical acclaim and won the Polaris Music Prize. The album showcased his production skills and featured collaborations with artists like Anderson.Paak, Syd, Craig David, and AlunaGeorge.

The other supporting act is a face familiar to those who stuck out the rest of “The Idol,” producer Mike Dean, who appeared as a producer for Lily-Rose Depp’s character, Jocelyn, in the final episode of the show. In his own right, he has a strong number of production credits to his name, and not just for some of The Weeknd’s biggest hits.

But you know what time doors open, you also know how to get to London Stadium (we hope); bottom line is - what merchandise might be available this evening and tomorrow and what could The Weeknd perform as “After Hours Til Dawn” hits London for two nights only

What merchandise could be on sale at The Weeknd’s London shows?

Clothing

That iconic “XO” shirt will no doubt be dominating the proceedings when people enter London Stadium for the show; it’s become quite the hot item in terms of The Weeknd’s most popular shirts and hoodies. With the tour being centred around his latest album, so too will the prints seen above - across a range of garments including short and long sleeve shirts, hooded tops and jumpers.

Other merchandise

Meanwhile if wearing your heart on your chest isn’t the way you’d like to pay tribute to The Weeknd, perhaps a more discreet keychain with that iconic “XO” logo or the “AM Dawn” typeface used for the album and tour would be more to your choosing. There is also the possibility that, despite being sold out on The Weeknd’s UK merch store, one of those cassette tapes he dropped could have made its way through customs.
