Watch: Asking Glaswegians about Billy Connolly
Glasgow’s spirit is made up of its weird and wonderful people, and the community values they share. To commemorate the art Billy Connolly has given to Scotland and the wider world three of the 29 murals on the city’s art trail are dedicated to him. We asked the public what they thought of the murals dedicated to the legendary comic. Connolly, now 80, is one of Britain’s most internationally beloved comedians. Famed for his Scottish wit, he appeared in several films as an actor including The Last Samurai with Tom Cruise. In 2013, he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, the illness is a neurological condition which affects dopamine, the chemical responsible for regulating the movement of the body.
