Watch: Man arrested in suspected fire attacks on men outside mosques
A man has now been arrested on suspicion of two counts of attempted murder, after detectives linked two incidents where men were set alight after leaving mosques in Birmingham and London. The man was initially arrested on Dudley Road on Tuesday afternoon, in relation to just the Birmingham attack. The man, who remains in custody, was identified by officers who were in the area carrying out inquiries following the attack. The incident took place at the junction of Shenton and Brixham Road in Edgbaston, Birmingham, at around 7pm on Monday, just before the start of Ramadan.
