A driver was caught on camera performing a U-turn on a major motorway and instigating a dangerous police chase - watch the terrifying footage.
A driver, who performed a U-turn on a major motorway before proceeding to drive the wrong way along the road, was caught on camera carrying out the dangerous manoeuvre. Footage shows Jordan Sneddon reversing along the M6 toll to avoid paying the £6.40 toll.
Behind the wheel of his black MG he then drives the wrong way down the carriage into oncoming traffic. Police were called after motorists saw him hurtling past them last August.
The 28-year-old drove the wrong way down the south carriageway for around six miles before leaving the toll road near Burntwood in Staffordshire. Once police caught up with him, he then led them on a dangerous chase.

Police dashcam footage shows Sneddon hitting speeds of 90mph in a 30mph zone, going through a red traffic light and crashing into a roundabout. When he was arrested he also refused a breathalyser test.
At Stafford Crown Court on Monday (February 16), Sneddon, of Tamworth, was jailed for 14 months after admitting dangerous driving. As part of his sentencing, Seddon was convicted of failing to provide a specimen for analysis. He was banned from driving for two years, extended for seven months.
PC Mark Boyles, from Staffordshire Police, said: “Sneddon’s driving was incredibly reckless and could have easily resulted in someone being seriously or fatally injured. I’m pleased that we were able to resolve this incident safely and prevent potential injury to both Sneddon and other road users.”
