Peter Lynch, 61, called asylum seekers “child killers” and shouted racist comments at police during a riot at the hotel at the Holiday Inn Express Manvers in Wath. He was found dead at HMP Moorland in Doncaster over the weekend.
He was also pictured at the demo holding aloft a placard saying that politicians, police, judges, the media, MPs, NASA, reporters and a string of other “deep state” groups were all “corrupt.”

Hide AdNow Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, has called for a demonstration in London this weekend to protest at Mr Lynch’s death.
On X, formerly Twitter, he wrote: “Peter Lynch was one of us. A concerned British grandfather. Imprisoned by a corrupt judiciary under orders of Keir Starmer. Tormented to suicide? Away from his family! We want justice for these political prisoners! Join us in London this Saturday.”
Lynch went to the hotel on 4 August with a placard and shouted "racist and provocative remarks" towards officers and called asylum seekers in the hotel "child killers", the Recorder of Sheffield Judge Jeremy Richardson KC told Sheffield Crown Court during his sentencing.
Lynch pleaded guilty to a charge of violent disorder and was jailed for two years and eight months.

Hide AdVideo played to the court showed Lynch "revving up" the situation before it turned violent, the judge said. He was filmed calling the police "scum".
His sign and protest was not unlawful, but his verbal abuse towards police officers during the "racist incident" crossed the line, the judge added.
Lynch, of Burman Road, Wath-upon-Dearne, was a "full participant" in the disorder, the court was told.
"You were unquestionably endeavouring to rev up the situation the best you could," Judge Richardson added.

Prison sources told The Daily Telegraph that Lynch is believed to have taken his own life on Saturday night at HMP Moorland. He was jailed on August 22 and an investigation has now been launched by the Prisons and Probation Ombudsman.
A prison service spokesman said: “HMP Moorland prisoner Peter Lynch died on Oct 19 2024. As with all deaths in custody, the Prisons and Probation Ombudsman will investigate."
More than 200 asylum seekers took shelter upstairs and staff barricaded themselves into the kitchen as violence erupted outside. More than 60 police officers were injured in the violent scenes, as a marauding mob stormed the hotel and attempted to set it on fire. Some rioters managed to break into the hotel and roamed corridors, while police were pelted with bricks, bottles, fence posts and fireworks as the riot escalated.
Dozens of people have been jailed for their part in the shocking scenes of disorder after a so-called peaceful demo turned ugly.
