A man wanted in connection with two brutal murders almost 20 years ago is among the 25 people currently on the National Crime Agency’s (NCA) most wanted list. Also on the list are men convicted over plots to smuggle drugs into the UK and a man who has been on the run since 2008 after being convicted of rape.
All of the people pictured are on the agency’s most wanted list, as of December 2022. Among those the NCA is looking for is Derek ‘Deco’ Ferguson who is wanted in connection with the murder of Thomas Cameron, it is believed he could be in Spain.
Meanwhile, Kevin Parle, is also wanted by the authorities in connection with two shocking murders in Merseyside, that of Liam Kelly, 16 in 2004 and Lucy Hargreaves, 22, 2005.
Also being sought by the NCA is Richard Wakeling who was found guilty in his absence of a plot to smuggle £8million of liquid amphetamine into the UK.
And Jonathon Kelly who was jailed for a series of offences including leaving someone paralysed after attacking them with a machete has been on the run for years after he broke bail conditions after being released on licence from jail.
Members of the public are urged not to go near these people and, if they should spot a fugitive, the information is to call your local police, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

. Richard Wakeling
Richard Wakeling, from Brentwood, Essex, tried to import £8million of liquid amphetamine into the UK in April 2016. On April 9 last year he was convicted and sentenced to 11 years after he absconded before his 12-week trial began. Photo: NCA

. Costas Sampson
On 25 August 2012 Sampson was convicted of raping a girl he met at a nightclub in London in February 2010. The girl was taken unwell after accepting a drink from a stranger, and Sampson and a friend offered to take her home. Sampson told one of the girl’s friends that he was a medical expert. . Daniel Dugic
Dugic is suspected of being involved in a conspiracy to import 255 kilos of cocaine. A number of other individuals were convicted in June 2011. The conspiracy involved a small UK vessel meeting a commercial container ship in the English Channel from which the drugs were transferred. . Mehmet Salih
Between December 2010 and November 2011 Salih is accused of being involved in a conspiracy to supply cocaine. It is believed he was contacted on a regular basis by an associate for the purposes of buying cocaine, delivering it and collecting payments. In May 2011 Salih allegedly visited Lincolnshire to deliver a quantity of cocaine that was subsequently recovered by the police. He was arrested and was in possession of £20,000 (€25,000). 5. Mark Roberts
Mark Francis Roberts, 29, is wanted in connection with grevious bodily harm and attempted robbery. He is last known to have stayed in Fairfield, Liverpool. He has a 7.6cm scar down his right leg, heavy eyebrows, is right handed, and has green eyes. He is wanted in relation to grievous bodily harm and attempted robbery of a man’s £60,000 Richard Mille watch. The victim was attacked by two men with a blade at around 1.30am on 30 September 2016 after he parked his car on his home driveway. He refused to surrender his watch and was so badly injured he suffered life-threatening injuries. The victim heard one of the attackers say he’d cut himself in the attack, and Roberts’s blood was later identified at the scene. Roberts has links to Scotland and Spain. | NCA

6. Asim Naveed
Asim Naveed, 29, is wanted by South Wales Police over offences between February to June 2020 and his last known addresses were in Butetown, Cardiff and Glenwood, Pentwyn, Cardiff. It is alleged he had a leading role in a highly organised crime group. Using encrypted comms platform EncroChat, he is accused of acquiring large quantities of cocaine from upstream suppliers and onward distribution through Cardiff and Wales. It is estimated 46 kilos of cocaine were brought into Wales during the period worth up to £7,885,680. He is 6ft 2in tall, of muscular build, and has a surgical scar along left wrist. 7. Jack Mayle
Jack Mayle, from Croydon, south London, is wanted for allegedly selling illegal substances, including class A drug MDMA. He had a tattooed neck, a diamond tattoo under his left eye and ‘Croydon’ inked on the outside of his left forearm. His left hand is tattooed with the phrase ‘money never sleeps’. 8. John James Jones.
John James Jones, 31, whose last known address was in Aughton, Lanacashire. Jones is wanted by Lancashire Police for wounding with intent, Jones (and a co-accused) allegedly assaulted two people on 28 April, 2018, by stabbing them numerous times with a knife causing serious injuries. It is believed Jones fled the UK in the immediate aftermath. There is information to show he stayed at a hotel in Madrid the night after the stabbings but left rapidly the next morning. He is around 6ft all, stocky, dark hair. | NCA
