Gang pose as workmen to steal iconic red phone box from village in broad daylight
and live on Freeview channel 276
A gang posing as workmen in Cheshire stole an iconic old style red phone belonging to the Parish council in July.
Using a white Ford transit van, the gang were seen dropping of a skip, where three men then used a digger to remove the phone box from a garden in the UK village.

Hide AdThe three man then asked a member of the public to guard the live electric cables which had been exposed while they contacted the energy network to make it safe
The theft took place sometime between 2:30pm and 3:00pm on 13 July.
The box belongs to Chelford Parish Council and no one had given permission for it to be removed.
The red telephone box was designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott, and can be still be spotted in several spots around the UK.

Hide AdCheshire Constabulary have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in relation to the theft of a red phone box.
PC John Milman said: “We’ve been making a number of enquiries in the area and are keen to speak to anyone who recognises the man in this image as he may be able to help us with our enquiries.
“I’d also appeal for the man to come forward to assist us with our investigation.”
