House prices: the 15 areas in England with the most expensive average property prices
These are some of the most exclusive neighbourhoods in the whole of the country
There are currently 49 neighbourhoods in England where the price of an average property is over £1 million, according to Land Registry data sourced from the Office for National Statistics.
Unsurprisingly, England’s 15 most expensive and exclusive neighbourhoods can all be found in the capital.
Eye-wateringly high property prices might not be unusual for London but for these neighbourhoods you will need at least £1.4 million to get on the housing ladder.
If you are planning a move to the city (and have a generous budget to do so) these neighbourhoods are currently the most expensive to buy in.
The figures are based on the median price paid in each neighbourhood in the 12 months to June 2021. The median is a measure of the average that takes the middle point between lowest and highest. Images are for illustrative purposes only.
