In recent years, the royal family have appeared a little more coy when it comes to revealing their A-level results. In 2022, a spokesman for Buckingham Palace said: “Having received her A-level results today, Lady Louise will study at St Andrews University in September to study English.”

Although the Palace spokesperson did not reveal the grades Lady Louise Windsor received, she most probably received similar or higher to an AABB as these are the minimum entry grades required (including an A in English) to study for an English BA (International Honours) at St Andrews University in 2023.

When it comes to Prince William and his younger brother Prince Harry, Prince William is the one who received higher A-level results. Prince William undertook three A-levels and received an A in Geography, a B in Art and C in Biology. Prince Harry took two A-Levels and got a B in Art and D in Geography.

Tatler wrote in 2022 that “It seems the official website the Royal Family would rather brush it under the carpet as it states that Harry simply , ‘went on to Eton College from September 1998 where he took his GCSEs and A-Levels’ rather than specify what subjects he took as they did with William’s entry.”

Catherine, Princess of Wales, exceeded both Prince Harry and her husband Prince William’s A-level results. She received an A for Maths and Art, and a B for English.

Princess Beatrice, who has dyslexia, received an A in Drama and Bs in History and Film Studies. Her sister, Princess Eugenie, who graduated with a 2:1 degree in a Combined Honours BA in English Literature, History of Art and Politics at Newcastle University in 2012, received an A for English Literature and Art, and a B for History of Art.

Like his youngest son Prince Harry, King Charles undertook two A-levels but his grades were higher and received a B in History and a C in French.
