The Kendall Jenner, Bad Bunny and Devin Booker love triangle - but who is NBA all-star Devin Booker?

One of social media’s popular new love triangles continues to see its embers burn after this weekend, as Bad Bunny - the latest suitor for social influencer Kendall Jenner to get cosy with - fires shots at her former flame, NBA superstar Devin Booker. Bad Bunny’s not throwing up bricks either (basketball terminology for missing a shot.)

Bad Bunny released a diss track entitled “Coco Chanel,” which contains the lines, once translated to English: "I ain’t bad, nah, baby, that’s just a gimmick/but the sun in PR [Puerto Rico] is hotter than the sun in Phoenix." Booker is currently a starter for the Phoenix Suns, an NBA team that the basketball player has risen to fame with, which propelled his name throughout the sports media, and at one stage into Kendall Jenner’s arms.

For his part though, Booker has not taken this technical foul lightly, promptly responding after the diss tracks by commenting on an Instagram post about the beef, simply writing, "he worried about another MAN again." This also comes after Booker and Jenner both unfollowed each other on the social media platform, making their split social media official.

Bad Bunny and Kendall Jenner’s relationship has been one of the biggest talking points on social media and tea-spilling websites since Deuxmoi released a tip that the model was seen locking lips with Bad Bunny at a private club in West Hollywood in mid-February. After that, more reports started coming in with People confirming that the two were "spending time together," and TMZ releasing images of them on a double date with Hailey and Justin Bieber.

Representatives for both members of the couple though have been quick to extinguish wedding bell sounds, having expressed that the couple is simply getting to know each other more. "Things are not official between Kendall and Bad Bunny, but they’re seeing each other on a regular basis and getting to know each other better," a source told Us Weekly, as Jenner isn’t "really looking to date anybody" after her split with Devin Booker.

Who is Devin Booker?

For several people out there, either not familiar with the NBA or with the on-goings of sports/celebrity couples, the name Devin Booker might not ring any bells, especially for European audiences. But in the United States, he’s become a beacon of hope for an NBA side still looking for their first NBA Championship.

Born on October 30 1996 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Booker is the son of a mother reportedly of Mexican and Puerto Rican descent while his father is former basketball player Melvin Booker, who plied his trade internationally while Booker was raised in Michigan. He also went to middle school with another future NBA star - D’Angelo Russell.

After playing college basketball for one season with the Kentucky Wildcats, Booker was selected by the Suns in the first round of the 2015 NBA draft as the 13th overall pick. In 2017, at 20 years old, he became the youngest player to score over 60 points in a game, finishing with 70 against the Boston Celtics.

His biggest break in NBA would come in the otherworldly 2019-2020 season when NBA games were being played in The Bubble; the biosecure bubble at Walt Disney World in Bay Lake, Florida, near Orlando, that was created by the National Basketball Association (NBA) to protect its players from the COVID-19 pandemic during the final eight games of the 2019–20 regular season and throughout the 2020 NBA playoffs.

Booker became the fourth-youngest player to reach 7,000 career points, behind only LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Carmelo Anthony. Booker was named an All-Star on February 13, 2020 as an injury replacement after Damian Lillard suffered a groin strain injury a day earlier. He also replaced Lillard in the Three-Point Contest, an event he had previously won.

With Phoenix desperately looking to pick up their first championship in franchise history, all signs have pointed to Booker to lead them to this promised land; he’s continually re-signed with the Suns throughout his ascent to NBA All-Star status as he continues to lead the team to the NBA Playoffs - a feat the team had not accomplished before Booker’s ascension since 2010.

How long were Kendall Jenner and Devin Booker in a relationship?

Many reports have suggested that the pair were in a two-year relationship before Jenner "outtied" from their monogamous relationship after the pair were first spotted on a double date — with other people — in May 2018. While the model was seeing Ben Simmons at the time, Booker was linked to Kylie Jenner’s then-best friend Jordyn Woods.

The twosome was spotted on a road trip to Sedona, Arizona, on April 29, 2020, with a source telling Us Weekly in June 2020 that Kendall and Booker were "hooking up," but "not serious" about their romance. That escalated into a two-year romance, with plenty of Instagram content from the pair celebrating their relationship, until the first signs of a fracture occurred in April 2022.

It was in that month that news broke about Jenner having no interest in including Booker in the hit E! Television series Keeping Up With The Kardashians. "We’ll see Kendall with her friends more than you did in Keeping Up [With the Kardashians]," showrunner Danielle King told Variety when asked about Booker appearing on the show. "But she is keeping her relationship private."

In June, another source told Us that the twosome hit pause on their relationship as they "figure out if a future together is what’s meant to be." Per the insider, Booker and Jenner are "still super amicable and supportive of each other," and despite periods of reconciliation and 'will they/won’t they,' the couple were finally reported to have broken up once again in November 2022. "Things are amicable after the breakup, there’s no bad blood between them," an insider revealed, noting that the split happened "a little over a month" prior.
