The Defence Secretary Ben Wallace has criticised Prince Harry for his comments about the Taliban in his memoir Spare  to Nick Ferrari on LBC. According to LBC, “Mr Wallace said. “I frankly think boasting about tallies or talking about tallies.. It distorts the fact that the army is a team game. It’s a team enterprise.. and so it’s not about who can shoot the most or who doesn’t shoot the most… that’s just my personal view.”

Ben Wallace then went on to say the following: "If you start talking about who did what, what you are actually doing is letting down all those other people, because you're not a better person because you did and they didn't."

According to the LBC, "Former Defence Secretary Lord Hutton labelled Prince Harry's Taliban comments a 'very serious mistake' in comments to LBC last month, saying 'it diminishes him."

Prince Harry has come under repeated criticism for his comments about the Taliban in his memoir Spare. However he did speak out to defend himself about this on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. “Without a doubt, the most dangerous lie they have told is that I somehow boasted about the number of people I killed in Afghanistan,” he said.

Prince Harry then went on to say the following in the interview with Stephen Colbert: “It’s really troubling and very disturbing that they can get away with it… My words are not dangerous-but the spin of my words are very dangerous to my family. That is a choice they’ve made.”

Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle have recently been in the news for breaking their silence on South Park lawsuit claims. A spokesperson for the couple reportedly dismissed claims that the pair are pursuing legal action over the South Park episode.

In a polling for The Independent, it was revealed that "Polling by Savanta for The Independent found 63 per cent of people thought Harry had damaged national security with the revelations, while just 23 per cent thought the "number" brought no danger to the UK."
