There's a rallying cry from women starting to reject the artifice world of celebrity image. From social media 'influencers' to reality TV stars and stunt women such as Blac Chyna, a woman who has played all three roles, there's never been a better time to embrace au naturel.

For many years, and particularly the last decade, there has been an increasingly large swathe of women, some even in their late teens, undergoing breast and butt enhancements using silicone. Blac Chyna was one of these silicon addicts.

From the age of 19, Blac has been having silicone butt injections, although she drew the line at a Brazilian butt lift and has never had this procedure done.

Posting on her Instagram account in on Sunday 12 March 2023, Blac explained why she was having her breast and butt reductions.

"I just want all the ladies out there to know, do not get silicone shots because you can get sick, you can die, have complications and all this other crazy stuff," she said.

"I'm past that stage. Been there, done that. I'm passing the baton to the younger ladies."

Blac's change of thinking on the subject of having her natural figure artificially enhanced appears to be part of a bigger upheaval in her mental approach to life, generally. She's even removed her fake nails as part of her image makeunder.

She talks on Instagram of having a 'life changing journey' and this might be due to having a six-year-old daughter. She shares her child, named Dream, with her ex partner Rob Kardashian. Potentially, the American model and socialite is trying to set a good example for her daughter in the hope that she won't feel the pressure to have cosmetic procedures.

Charlotte Crosby, of reality TV show Geordie Shore fame, has also had a change of heart and mind in regards to the use of lip fillers. She gave birth to a daughter, Alba, in October 2022 and has since decided to dissolve her statement pout for good.

"I did not get my lips dissolved because of trolls, because quite frankly, I've been trolled for so long about them and I did not care," said Charlotte, speaking on the Nova Podcast.

"I absolutely love my lips, but it got to the point, after pregnancy they had swelled a lot. Like in pregnancy you have a lot of water retention.

"I watched Geordie Shore reunion and I was watching it and I was like, "I look ridiculous". For the first time, I was like "I look ridiculous".

"And obviously I've had a little girl now, you know what I mean? I thought to myself when I was watching myself on TV, and when I'm up in my little girl's face... and I'm going [baby babble], and I'm doing all these silly noises, can she even see us over them humongous lips?

"Can she even see who I am as a person? Eight years I'd been getting my lips done. That's a lot of filler in them lips. And I thought it's all got to go."

Cardi B is another woman who has decided to ditch the fillers. She revealed in December 2022 that she had surgery in the summer to remove biopolymers fillers from her butt.

"In August I got surgery and I removed 95% of my biopolymers… if you don't know what it is, it's a** shots. It was a really crazy process," Cardi said in an Instagram live video.

"All I'm going to say is that if you're young, if you're 19, 20, 21, and sometimes you're too skinny, and you be like "OMG I don't have enough fat to put in my a**" so you result to a** shots, DON'T!" said the singer who is known for her curves.
