Lindsay Lohan, Katy Perry and Chrissy Teigan are just a few of the celeb that are sharing real pics of their bodies after childbirth

When Lindsay Lohan announced that she was having a baby I was over the moon. It was like my best friend had just told me. I found my happy feelings slightly bizarre as although I loved Mean Girls I didn’t really class myself as a LiLo fan.

But now I’m well and truly a fan after seeing the real life image of herself on Instagram #nofilter just weeks after giving birth to her first child. The makeup free actress, 37, proudly shows off her body by wearing postpartum underwear - which means post-baby, I’d never heard of that word before having a baby - underwear.

The caption read “I am so proud of what this body was able to accomplish during these months of pregnancy and now, recovery. Having a baby is the greatest joy in the world! My OOTD lately is my @fridamom postpartum underwear. Because I’m not a regular mom, I’m a postpartum mom.”

It’s refreshing to see more and more celebrities sharing real life pics of their bodies after having a baby.

Five days after Katy Perry after giving birth to daughter Daisy Katy Perry shared a picture of herself wearing a hands free breast pump and disposable underwear. Chrissy Tiegan has been open and honest about her pregnancies and the loss of her son Jack who was just 20 weeks.

Gemma Atkinson and Stacey Solomon have openly spoken about their pregnancy and post baby bodies. Whilst Molly-Mae Hague shared an emotional video explaining how she found the first few weeks of motherhood hard - when I saw this video I cried with Molly because I completely understood how she felt.

Let's be honest no one really tells you the truth about how your body will look after you give birth. Or maybe they do but we just think we will naturally snap back into shape because for so many years that’s what we were conditioned to believe after seeing so many Hollywood stars have a baby and the next day show off their flat stomachs.

I had my son in 2018 and was completely under the impression that as soon as I had him my body would pretty much go back to how it was within the first year but of course it didn’t. I think celeb mums that share real images of their bodies should be praised for showing off their post baby figures.

We want to see more of this to help break down the barriers that our bodies go through a lot during pregnancy and childbirth and having a pregnancy belly for a few while after the baby comes out is totally normal.

And not just their post-baby bodies. I love seeing when celeb mums share pictures that their kid has had a complete meltdown or not being on their best behaviour for an important event (Prince Louis it’s). A recent resurfaced TikTok video clip of Kate Middleton shows the Princess of Wales was seen wiping dribble away from Baby George’s mouth and then wiping it on her dress - We've all been there.

This is the real life stuff that I and many other mums can relate to because as much as we love them kids are hard work.
