David and Victoria Beckham are planning a huge garden renovation to their Cotswolds home - but is already causing controversy amongst the locals. The Beckham's Cotswolds home isn't too far from Jeremy Clarkson's Diddly Squat farm which David has been known to visit.

The former footballer, 48, and fashion designer, 49, have a Grade II listed barn conversion that already boasts a football field, an outdoor pool and a sauna, but they plan on adding more luxurious features.

The couple wants to build a giant greenhouse overlooking a garden kitchen and a longer driveway. However, according to The Sun, neighbours have reportedly opposed the plans on the grounds that the suburban features do not fit in the rural location.

David and Victoria’s planning requests have been causing disputes with neighbours voicing their concerns since 2020. Plans for an outdoor seating area for entertaining were rejected, while their original swimming pool plan was also denied. In 2023 the couple were able to put in an outside toilet near their manmade lake so that their guests didn’t have to go all the way to the main house.

The couple, who have been married since 1999 and have four children together - Brooklyn Beckham, Cruz Beckham, Romeo Beckham and Harper Beckham - bought the £6 million home in 2017 and is reportedly worth £12 million.
