While the congregation for King Charles’ coronation is 2,300 people strong with family and friends of the monarch and Camilla in attendance along with foreign dignitaries, politicians, world leaders and charity reps; there will be several faces missing from Westminster Abbey and Buckingham Palace’s balcony.

After the guest list was finalised and the seating plan decided for those to see Charles get crowned as the 40th monarch since 1066, some members of the Firm were notably absent in receiving invitations.

Charles also missed out on his daughter’s wedding earlier this year when Amelia Spencer tied the knot in South Africa and he remained at home in Althorp.

India Hicks

King Charles’ goddaughter India Hicks will not get the chance to see the first coronation in 70 years.

Although she was left off the invitation list, India shared a sweet post of her godfather to Instagram saying: “...The remarkable man behind [The Prince’s Trust], and a very considerate, very patient godfather (with an annoying five year-old India).”

Zenouska Mowatt

One of Queen Elizabeth’s closest family members, Zenouska Mowatt, will also watch the coronation on TV.
