In a message at the opening of the show, the actress pledged that "discoveries" made by the Smith family would be released "when the time calls."

Here is everything you need to know.

What is Red Letter Talk?

On Red Table Talk, Pinkett Smith, her daughter, Willow Smith, and her mother, Adrienne Banfield-Norris, discuss a wide variety of topics.

A message that appeared ahead of the latest episode of Red Table Talk read: “Considering all that has happened in the last few weeks, the Smith family has been focused on deep healing.

“Some of the discoveries around our healing will be shared when the time calls.

“Until then… the table will continue offering itself to powerful, inspiring and healing testimonies like that of our incredibly impressive first guest.

In 2020, Pinkett Smith made headlines when she admitted she had an "entanglement" with rapper August Alsina while split from Smith.

She sat down with her husband for a special episode of Red Table Talk at the time to discuss recent rumours about their relationship's status.

She said she and Alsina had become friends some four years ago when she and Smith were separated.

Smith told British GQ his wife of 24 years “never believed in conventional marriage”, and said people may have walked away “thinking that Pinkett Smith was the only one engaging in other sexual relationships”.

What has happened to Will Smith?

Smith has since resigned from the Academy, and has been banned from attending all Academy events for the next 10 years.

Academy president David Rubin admitted that the organisation had "fallen short" in its response to the tragedy, but expressed optimism that the decision would "begin a time of healing and repair for those engaged and impacted."

“The Board has decided, for a period of 10 years from April 8 2022, Mr Smith shall not be permitted to attend any Academy events or programmes, in person or virtually, including but not limited to the Academy Awards,” said a statement, shared with US media.
