The Prince and Princess of Wales surprised guests at the NHS 75th anniversary tea party on Monday. William and Kate arrived early to help set tables and even donned their aprons to give a hand decorating cakes. The event was held at the St Thomas' Hospital in London and hosted by the NHS Charities Together which the couple are patrons of.

The couple looked as though they were enjoying themselves as they iced cakes, whilst William appeared to be a bit more heavy handed with his piping technique compared to his wife. William ask her if it looked ‘any good?’ Kate couldn’t hide her reaction as she burst out laughing at his effort.

Proving once again she is the people’s princess Kate recycled a dress she previously wore to Wimbledon in 2022 as she watched the men's singles final. The blue midi-dress with white polka dots and matching belt is by the Women's Luxury Ready-To-Wear Brand Alessandra Rich. The dress is from their Spring/Summer 2020 collection and costs £1,335. It has quite a hefty price tag so no wonder Kate has decided to wear it again.

The brand doesn't just have Princess approval though as it seems to be a firm favourite with many celebrities including the Hilton sisters, Lily Collins, India Amarteifio, Gigi Hadid, Hailey Bieber, Jenni Kim and Beyoncé who have all been seen wearing outfits from the fashion label.

It’s not the first time Catherine, Princess of Wales has recycled an outfit, she has been known to champion repeat wearing of outfits for many years and recycling dresses to many special events. In 2023 Kate wore the one shoulder Alexander McQueen dress to the BAFTA Award ceremony she previously wore to the same event in 2019.

In 2018 the Princess of Wales wore a teal coloured gown with lace detail by Jenny Packman to the Tusk Awards after wearing it to a gala dinner ahead of the London Olympic Games in 2012.

Not forgetting the stunning black lace dress by Roland Mouret she wore out for dinner at London’s Claridge's in 2012 then recycling to wear again to the London premiere of Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom in 2013.

With sustainable fashion at the forefront of everyone's minds it's good to see Kate leading by example. Forget ‘throw-away’ fashion and the idea you can only wear an item once (unless it's rented then of course that's different) it's time we all take a leaf out of the Princess’s book and embrace recycling dresses time and time again.
