Kate Middleton’s love for Karen Millen continues as she wears the high street label on visit to Birmingham

As much as Kate Middleton loves a designer label (think Alexander McQueen, Catherine Walker and Jenny Packham) she is equally as fond of the high street. Kate has worn the likes of Zara and LK Bennett in the past but opted for an £183 dress from Karen Millen for her visit to Birmingham. 

If you love Kate Middleton’s style and want to emulate her look immediately, the Karen Millen outfit is the  Petite Long Sleeve Pleated Midi Trench Dress. She also accessorised with ‘Dina’ earrings by Sézane and a necklace by Danielle Draper that costs £825.

However before you get too excited about getting hold if the Karen Millen dress, the colour Kate chose is, as expected, sold out. You will be happy however to know that you can still get hold of the black version, although that might not be the case soon!

For those of you who think Kate Middleton might have worn Karen Millen before, you would be right in your assumption. In October 2022, she stepped out in a bright yellow dress by the label for a visit to Surrey County Hospital’s maternity unit. 

The yellow Karen Millen dress that Kate Middleton wore was the ‘Structured Crepe Forever Pleat Belted Midi dress,’ that immediately sold out in this colour. However, it is now available in shades such as ‘Green’ ‘Pink’ and ‘Bluebell’ and retails at £175.20, reduced from £219.

Other fans of Karen Millen include television presenters Amanda Holden, Christine Lampard, Susanna Reid and Lorraine Kelly. So, you would be in good company if you did decide you wanted to choose something from the high street label too.

Kate Middleton was joined by Prince William on her Birmingham visit, and it was the couple’s first joint official engagement since returning from their Easter break. The pair traveled to the city by train and visited The Indian Streatery, an independent run Indian restaurant whilst there.
