Six years after its creation, Khloe Kardashian’s brand Good American is opening its first physical flagship store in Los Angeles to ‘further flip the traditional retail model on its head… by delivering an even more inviting, accommodating and empowering space for women to shop.’

The news that everybody can soon purchase items in person comes after the influencer appeared at the apparel company’s Every Body panel last night, where celebrities like Ashley Graham discussed the importance of representation and inclusivity in fashion.

Body positivism, inclusion and ‘discovery’ have been a substantial focal point for Khloe and co-founder Emma Grede who launched the brand in 2016, providing sizes of clothing from 00-24 and showcasing items on three size ranges of models on their website to ‘eliminate the friction around finding your perfect fit’.

A champion of body confidence (having promoted positivity with her show ‘Revenge Body’ and her book ‘Strong Looks Better Naked’ before GA’s launch), Khloe recently promoted the clothing brand on Instagram with several snaps of her in a little black dress and an oversized denim trench coat at the Every Body panel on Wednesday.

As well as opening their flagship store in LA in the next couple of months, Good American launched The Good Inc initiative at the end of 2022 which supports emerging talent in the fashion industry through ‘mentorship, shared resources and exposure’, according to their website.

As mentioned, Khloe co-founded GA with British businesswoman Emma Grede in 2016 starting out with denim attire before branching out into shapewear, shoes and swimwear to name a few.

Emma is no stranger to working with the Kardashian clan and creating a successful business as she too works with Khloe’s sister Kim as the chief product officer on her brand Skims since it launched in 2019.

Skims and Good American fall under the holding company Popular Culture which was founded by Emma and her husband Swedish entrepreneur Jens Grede.

Statistically speaking, Skims made $475 million in revenue in 2022 as Good American exceeded $200 million; and while it is unclear how much of Khloe’s $60 million net worth stems from the apparel company, one can get a good idea from Emma’s $360 million net worth as she earns 23% from her GA co-ownership.

In light of the Every Body panel and GA’s upcoming opening, Emma pinpointed the denim brand’s success as down to the customers and the community, previously saying: “A big part has been listening to our customers and factoring in their feedback, the good and the bad. We have the most incredible community.”

The Good American store will be available in the first quarter of 2023 at Westfield Century City centre in LA with a further two stores opening shortly afterwards in other American cities.
