Last night’s UEFA Europa League match between Arsenal and Sporting Lisbon had a little bit more star power than merely the professionals on the pitch. It was confirmed even before she took to her seat in the pre-game build-up before the players took to the pitch that superstar influencer Kim Kardashian was in attendance at the Emirates Stadium last night in London.

Kardashian was confirmed by Arsenal’s media team that she was a special guest in attendance, alongside her son Saint, as the pair watched Arsenal lose to Sporting Lisbon on penalties in a thrilling game. Perhaps it wasn’t just the pressure of the players for Mikel Arteta’s high-flying team taking penalties to conclude the game, with the added pressure of one of the world’s most recognisable women in attendance.

Though we’re not sure if Kim Kardashian is an Arsenal supporter, as she has been spotted previously wearing an AS Roma football shirt (a team from Italy’s Serie A - their equivalent to the Premier League), however if an Instagram post from January is anything to go by, it would appear Saint is growing up to be a Gooner (an Arsenal fan - much like Idris Elba.) Perhaps it was a day out planned around her son's interests

He was spotted in that social media post adorned head-to-toe in Arsenal’s third kit, while his appearance last night at the Emirates Stadium with his mother saw him representing the North London team in their home kit. Kardashian also shared photos to her 348 million followers showing copies of the match day programme and a couple of bottles of KSI and Logan Paul’s much sought-after energy drink, Prime.

People are beginning to speculate exactly why Kim is in London. It could be linked to Paris Hilton's current book tour where she is set to appear at Selfridges this weekend. The long-enduring friendship between the pair may spell a reunion while they are in the UK capital.

It could be that the crux of her appearance isn’t so much if she is an Arsenal fan or not, but what her rumoured new documentary is about; during the announcement by Arsenal’s media team surrounding her attendance at the game, they along with several other media outlets this morning keep talking about a new “documentary” she is involved in.

What is Kim Kardashian’s new documentary about?

That is one of the biggest mysteries surrounding the appearance at the Emirates Stadium in London; what the documentary is about is that Kim Kardashian is currently filming. Let the speculation commence.

We could rule out the possibility of it being a film crew associated with an upcoming season of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, as that would be described more as a television series rather than an outright documentary. Though, the smoke and mirrors of Hollywood productions could also mean the “documentary” line is to throw off any spoilers for Keeping Up With The Kardashian’s next series.

Then there is the prospect that given Prime is a sponsor of Arsenal, a documentary citing the rise of KSI and Logan Paul from rivals to business owners could be the topic. Kardashian was one of the original celebrities to parlay an internet following into a multi-million dollar, multimedia empire, so perhaps the documentary could be about the rise of those two internet celebrities.

Football, or soccer as they call it stateside, is also becoming more of a popular sport, if not through the growth of Major League Soccer in the United States or the involvement of globally recognised stars like David Beckham at Inter Miami. It could also be the popularity of Ted Lasso which has turned more eyes onto the beautiful game. Could it be that Kim Kardashian, much like Danny Dyer before her, is touring various celebrated football clubs in Europe?

Elsewhere, perhaps Kim is taking lead from other US celebrities like Michael B. Jordan and Ryan Reynolds with greater involvement in British football. It remains to be seen.
