Kim Kardashian will attend Met Gala after reports Anna Wintour cut her from the list

Kim Kardashian shall go to the ball - Met Gala - after it was previously reported that Vogue Editor Anna Wintour was planning a ‘Kardashian Free’ Met Gala this year. But sources have confirmed the entrepreneur will attend. 

The first Monday in May is the biggest night in the fashion world and has been dubbed the ‘SuperBowl’ of fashion. Kim has attended the event for over a decade now and has graced us with some stunning and sometimes controversial outfits. 

Never one to play it safe, the influencer made headlines with her show stopping ‘dripping’ Mugler dress, the all black Balenciaga bodysuit that covered her face and who can forget last year's Marylin Monroe dress? No designer has been mentioned just yet but if previous outfits are anything to compare we are sure it has been months in the making. 

The annual fundraiser sees the red carpet laid out for the A-List celebrities to showcase their interpretation of the year's theme - in honour of the late fashion designer, Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty -  and then enjoy a sit down dinner to celebrate the opening of the Institute's annual fashion exhibit.

The guestlist is meticulously thought over by the Vogue editor and tickets cost from $35,000. Only the most popular and elite celebrities will get an invite. It looks as though Kim K may be the only Kardashian to be at this years event although sister Kendall may attend.

Gossip blogger Deux Moi released a list of celebrities that were invited and those who were confirmed. 

Confirmed: Model Cara Delevingne, actress Mindy Kaling, actress Penélope Cruz, Screenwriter Michaela Coel, Tennis pro Roger Federer, Singer Dua Lipa and model Lily Rose Depp. 

Invited: Actress Kristen Stewart, singer Janelle Monáe, singer Harry Styles, model Kaia Gerber, actor Austin Butler, singer Rihanna, last year's chairs Blake Lively and husband Ryan Reynolds, actress Margot Robbie, actress Diane Kruger and singer Pharrell Williams. 

All confirmed and invited have attended the event in previous years.

We can't wait to see them all and we are expecting lots of Black and White outfits and maybe a few fake cats as a homage to the late fashion designer's cat Choupette.
