After months of preparation, King Charles and Queen Consort were crowned as monarchs on Saturday 6 May in front of a 2,500-strong crowd in Westminster Abbey and a global audience.

And while they say that ‘heavy is the head that wears the crown’, this may hold some truth as King Charles adorned the 2.23kg crown during the following Coronation procession and Buckingham Palace balcony appearance.

All of these aspects combined may have been quite taxing for Charles, who became the oldest monarch in British history, therefore the question remains will he and Queen Camilla have a holiday now the Coronation weekend is coming to a close, or will they jump straight into their Royal duties?

One could consider that last night King Charles enjoyed the Coronation concert with the likes of Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Take That playing at Windsor Castle. For a King that usually tries to go to bed at 6pm, the 8pm start to the concert and the hours of celebratory music may have left His Majesty quite tired, in addition to his battery being drained from greeting thousands of people and entertaining visiting country leaders.

Today also marks Charles’ Big Help Out day where charities and celebrities are encouraging the nation to volunteer to pay tribute to the King's decades of public service. Around six million people are signed up to take part therefore His Majesty could be travelling around the country visiting the open days and the volunteers.

Princess Anne is currently planning to visit the County Civic Service in Gloucester Cathedral with her husband Tim Laurence, and the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh are attending a Guide Dogs event, therefore their older brother could be leading the way.

In the days following the Big Help Out, King Charles may take it as a chance to seize his ambition to rebrand the monarchy and visit places in need or travel the Commonwealth under his new reign also.

However, it must be considered that at the age of 74, King Charles may decide to take a couple of days to recharge before continuing his job as Head of State.

While you cannot really compare the two events, King Charles did take some time out of his calendar at the end of last year when mourning his mother the late Queen Elizabeth after her funeral by returning to Balmoral Castle; therefore as he gets ready to start his next phase of monarchy, could he take some time to let it all sink in?
