King Charles III, renowned for his long standing advocacy of environmental awareness and sustainability, has taken his passion for the environment a step further by launching a new YouTube channel called RE:TV

The channel continues the monarch’s dedication to promoting sustainable solutions to the pressing climate and biodiversity crisis that we face today, with his commitment to environmental causes dating back to as early as 1970 when he first began raising his voice for the planet.

Through the launch of RE:TV's YouTube channel, King Charles aims to utilise his influential platform and leverage his extensive history of environmental advocacy to inspire positive change, foster greater understanding, and promote sustainable practices on a global scale.

RE:TV, which mirrors the name of his non-profit organisation established in 2020, enables King Charles to continue making a significant impact in the realm of environmental awareness and to commemorate the launch of RE:TV's YouTube channel, the short film titled "The Speeches: 50 Years of Speaking Up For The Planet" has been released.

This film showcases a collection of quotes from King Charles' speeches spanning from 1970 to 2020 and include renowned actors and environmentalists, including Idris Elba, Olivia Colman, Woody Harrelson and others, lending their voices to amplify the urgent call for environmental action.

Crafted by Atomized Studios and directed by Anatole Sloan, the short film seamlessly weaves together these inspiring speeches with poignant visuals illustrating deforestation, waste, and the profound impacts of climate change. Its primary objective is to raise awareness and emphasise the critical importance of addressing the environmental challenges we face.

When did King Charles III join other social media platforms?

Though we’ve yet to discover if King Charles III has a burned account akin to Elon Musk, he did join Twitter and Instagram later rather than at the start of their creation.

His Twitter account during his tenure as Prince of Wales was set up on March 24 2011 (@ClarenceHouse) , while he eventually joined Instagram on September 26 2018 - once again with the handle @ClarenceHouse

No sign of King Charles III on TikTok though, we’re afraid to say. In good time though, given how late to the party he was with YouTube for example.
