The Poosh founder responded to the comment and wrote: "the after-effects of IVF (I only acknowledge this comment bc I do think it's important to know how IVF affects women's bodies and it's not spoken about much) ... also are we still asking women if they're pregnant?"

Kourtney has three children Mason, Penelope and Reign with ex-boyfriend Scott Disick and Travis has two children with Landon and Alabama with ex-wife Shanna Moakler.

Another social media user waded in and wrote: “Well if you share your life on TV and social media then I guess people can ask questions.”

But it begs the question because the Kardashians have made a career from sharing their life on a TV show. Does it give viewers the right to ask inappropriate questions and body shame?

Friends actress Jennifer Aniston is another celebrity who would often be asked if she was pregnant. In an interview with Allure magazine Jennifer revealed that whilst she was married to Brad Pitt they went through IVF with no success. She explained: “I was trying to get pregnant. It was a challenging road for me, the baby-making road.”

There are so many reasons why people decide to go down the IVF route and there are so many effects that it has on the body and mentally that the last thing anyone needs is someone asking ‘are you pregnant’ just because they are a bit bloated.

According to the NHS website: “In vitro fertilisation (IVF) is one of several techniques available to help people with fertility problems have a baby. During IVF, an egg is removed from the woman's ovaries and fertilised with sperm in a laboratory.” Side effects include bloating and cramps.
