“The Punisher” is ready for his next big fight – and his UK debut.

Luton-born boxer Izzadeen Malik El-Amin, known as “The Punisher” is coming off a win in his last fight on April 22. He was away from his family during the celebration of Eid when he scooped his 6th Pro win on Eid Day itself.

“Now I’m 6-0 with another knock out against a last-minute replacement,” said Izzadeen. “He was tougher than the original opponent that pulled out.”

He said: “I went out there and got the win that’s what matters now we move on, I’m just waiting at the moment to get my UK boxing license then we can take things from there.”

Izzadeen, who turned professional two years ago, made his debut at 22 years old, where he fought in Tijuana, Mexico. He has won his first six professional bouts, four of them in first round by knock-out, and travelled to fight in Mexico and Columbia for all his bouts so far.

For his latest bout, he was back in Mexico on his own, as he has been for his previous five fights.

Izadeen says he’s been fighting all of his life, whether it was against injustice or fighting mentally through the challenges he faced as a teen. It’s nothing new for him, he says.

“When you’re battling with childhood trauma, nothing else can be worse,” he explained.

He added: “This is now my sixth KO in a row, I can punch. He was the best opponent so far on paper he was coming off a stoppage win over an undefeated boxer so I done what I had to do, we keep on going God Willing.”

A third round body shot stoppage meant Izzadeen came back with the win.

“I dropped him twice,” he said. “The second time he didn’t get up and the referee waved it off, it was too much for him.”

Izzadeen says that life has been against him – a story not known to many people – and that he is still misunderstood, which won’t change just yet. Thought he is grateful for his current position, which is all he has wanted since childhood. He loves what he does for a living and the fact that his fighting has turned professional.

He said: “As for me going to Mexico on my own, you know it’s always been a One Man Army but thanks to those who were in my corner in San Luis, Colorado – coach Mike, a solid guy, and the rest of the team from Arizona. His fighters Omar and Anthony also fought on the card, all of us coming out with wins.”

But there’s no time to rest on his laurels and he is already planning his next move, while hoping for a UK debut fight to show the home crowd his KO punching.

“Now back in the UK, I think it’s time to make my UK debut,” he said. “A lot of people wanna see me fight and see the KOs in person - there’s also those who wanna see me lose, so it should be interesting what the next step is, stay tuned!”
