Although Meghan Markle has certainly been in the headlines recently, she has mainly been keeping a low profile since Prince Harry’s bombshell memoir Spare. The couple were spotted at the vow renewal of their Montecito neighbours Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi, but aside from that, she has not made any public appearances until now.

The Duchess of Sussex has made a surprise return by appearing on a video on the Instagram of 'self-care' coffee company Clevr.

In the video, Hannah discusses how she and her co-founder started the company in 2016. "Three years ago everything changed," she revealed. "None other than Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, had started drinking our lattes.

"Not only did she love the product, she was extremely passionate about female founders and sustainable sourcing. Meghan ended up becoming our first investor, adviser and biggest Clevr advocate."

Hannah then goes on to talk about how Meghan sent some of their turmeric lattes to friends. "A few days later, I opened my phone to see Oprah herself making our Golden Superlatte in her own kitchen. No big deal!"

In a statement to Fortune in 2020, Meghan Markle said: "I’m proud to invest in Hannah’s commitment to sourcing ethical ingredients and creating a product that I personally love and (that) has a holistic approach to wellness, I believe in her, and I believe in her company."

At the time, a representative for the Duchess of Sussex reportedly declined to disclose the size of her investment.

In 2021, the brand however sparked controversy when The Mail on Sunday revealed that the company had reportedly imported a lot of their ingredients from a Chinese supplier allegedly based in a brutal police state.

In the video on Clevr’s Instagram, Meghan Markle was seen wearing her ‘Maythorne’ Burberry trench coach which she wore during a royal tour of Australia in 2018. She also accessorised with her Cartier love bracelet, tank watch, and a Logan Hollowell ‘Baby Queen’ Water Drop Emerald Solitaire Necklace.
