What is Meghan Markle’s former ‘best friend’ Jessica Mulroney doing now?

Whilst it has been reported that Meghan Markle’s close friend Jessica Mulroney might hold the key to the bridesmaid row between Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle, what has happened to the Toronto based stylist who was once so close to Meghan?

At one point, Jessica Mulroney was without question in Meghan Markle’s close inner circle. The pair bonded when Meghan moved to Canada to film Suits and Jessica’s children, Isabel Veronica (known as Ivy) and twins, John and Brian all played roles at Meghan and Harry’s wedding. Jessica is believed to have been Meghan’s ‘unofficial maid of honour'.

However, the pair had a big falling out in 2020 and despite Jessica apologising, Meghan is reported to have ended their friendship. For a time it would seem that Jessica retreated very much from the public eye.

Ahead of the release of part two of Harry and Meghan’s Netflix docuseries ‘Harry & Meghan,’ Jessica took to social media to repost a cryptic quote on her Instagram stories. It read: “Best thing I ever did was learn how to move without the crowd.”

In the second episode of the docuseries, Meghan appears to have a video-call with Jessica Mulroney (based in Toronto) just before Harry asked Meghan to marry him in the Walled Garden of Kensington Palace. As Meghan approached the setting, she said: “Oh God Jess, it’s happening. He told me not to peek.”

It is thought that this ‘cryptic’ social media quote by Jessica might have been a reference to her former friendship with Meghan. Since posting it, Jessica has been back on social media quite a lot, posting pictures of her family and her outfits.

Five days ago, she posted a photograph of her son and husband singing “My Way” with the caption: “My favourite holiday memory. Always do it your way.”

She also posted an Instagram post on the 15th December wearing a sequinned jumpsuit with the caption: “The assignment was sparkle,” followed by a sparkle emoji. “How did I do?” Her 413K followers were quick to respond.

One famous follower who responded was Katherine McPhee Foster, wife of David Foster, who said simply: “WOW” followed by two heart and fire emojis.

Jessica is married to Ben Mulroney, who is the son of the former Canadian Prime Minister. The couple wed in 2008 and had a lavish three day wedding celebration.
