Meghan Markle is set to return to Instagram and will reportedly earn $1 million per Instagram post.

In 2020 the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped down from their senior royal roles and discontinued their @Sussex Royal social media account. Meghan, 42, also deleted her lifestyle brand ‘The Tig’ account ahead of her wedding to Prince Harry in 2018.

'The Tig' was Meghan Markle's lifestyle blog which she founded in 2014, while she was filming ‘Suits’. The Duchess would share content including food, travel fashion and beauty.

It now appears Meghan Markle is ready to make her social media comeback after a new Instagram account with the handle @Meghan recently appeared on the platform. The profile image is of a bunch of pink peonies -  which just so happens to be Meghan’s favourite flower.

The Duchess is set to earn a hefty $! Million per post and the account has already garnered over 115 thousand followers and rising. But how does Meghan Markle compare to some of the other big players of Instagram?

Selena Gomez - Followers 428 Million

Selena Gomez reclaimed her crown from Kylie Jenner as the most followed woman on Instagram. According to HopperHQ's Instagram Rich List as of July 2023, Selena Gomez can charge $2,558,000 per Instagram post. The singer has brand deals with sportswear Puma and luxury fashion brand Coach.

Kim Kardashian - Followers 363 Million

Kim Kardashian has come a long way from ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ TV series. She has since become a business mogul with her own brands Skims and Skkn but that hasn’t stopped Kim K from promoting other brands and it’s no surprise as she earns a whopping $2,176,000 per IG post.

Gwyneth Paltrow - Followers 8.6 million

As Meghan is set to launch her own lifestyle brand it’s only fair to compare her to the biggest lifestyle brand owner. Gwyneth Paltrow owns Goop known for its expensive and outlandish products. Gwyneth reportedly earns $1.08 million per Instagram post based on the estimates that she has made previously $13m per year through the social media platform.

Kourtney Kardashian - Followers 224 Million

Poosh owned by Kourtney Kardashian is another lifestyle brand that Meghan Markle will be compared to. Kourtney currently earns $1,343,000 per IG post so Meghan's huge million-dollar Instagram post isn’t looking so impressive after all.
