Prince Harry and Meghan Markle initially appeared to look at ease with one another recently when they shared a video as ‘Harry and Meghan’ where they were seen calling people to get funding for online safety projects. The last time the couple made a public appearance together was in May when the Duchess of Sussex received the 2023 Women of Vision Award

The subsequent ‘car chase’ controversy that ensued in May after the awards ceremony continued to divide opinion on the couple and then the headlines turned to Prince Harry’s court case against the Mirror Group Newspapers in the High Court in London.

The BBC reported that Prince Harry and Megan Markle’s latest “announcement marks a return to public appearances and with it the media spotlight, with a visible statement of togetherness. It’s a carefully staged garden scene, likely to be seen as sending a message about the couple’s future.”

Although the video was about the couple congratulating winners of their safer technology grant, in my opinion, it was much more than that. Prince Harry and Meghan seemed to be showing the world that they are ‘incredibly happy’ and that the divorce rumours that are plaguing them are just ‘nonsense.’

However, it would seem that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s attempt to show themselves as ‘happy and relaxed’ may do little to quash ‘divorce rumours.’ Body expert Judi James revealed to The Mirror that Prince Harry “seems to glance across at Meghan a couple of times as he talks but we’re not shown her employing her signature levels of eye contact and adoring face-gazing on Harry. There is no touch between them shown in this clip and no mutual glances shown, either.”

Unfortunately for the couple, if their latest public appearance has not convinced the world that the divorce rumours are nonsense, Harry’s forthcoming schedule is not going to either. He is due to take part in a polo match (without Meghan) in Singapore, and next week is going to a sports summit in Japan.

In June 2023, Page Six also reported that Prince Harry is set to return to Africa solo for a Netflix documentary and said that “Harry’s potential African journey will inevitably be seen as following in the footsteps of his mother, Princess Diana, who travelled to Africa to campaign against landmines shortly before her death.”

So with all this talk of ‘solo projects,’ what else can Prince Harry and Meghan Markle do to show the world that ‘divorce’ is the last thing on their minds? Well, it is Meghan Markle’s 42nd birthday on August 4. What better opportunity to show their world how ‘in love they are’ by going out for an intimate dinner together in the evening.?
