Independence Day celebrations are a huge deal in the USA and anyone who's anyone wants to be invited to the best party around. Michael Rubin makes the most of the holiday with all of his celebrity friends for his annual white party. 

The self-made billionaire, 50 and long-term girlfriend model Camille Fishel, 32, hosted the biggest Fourth of July Party at his $50 million Bridgehampton pad in the affluent Hamptons. The couple invited 350 celebrities, models, influencers and business titans.

The guest list was jammed packed with half of Hollywood attending guests included Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lopez, Ben Affleck, Kim Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, Justin Bieber, Hailey Bieber, Usher, Jack Harlow,  Emily Ratajkowski, Tom Brady, Travis Scott and Kylian Mbappé to name just a few. 

Michael shared a glimpse into the star studded party with a ‘literal movie’ on his Twitter account. The video showed everyone arriving at the stunning beachside property enjoying food, drink and lots of dancing into the night. 

Of course it got everyone wondering who Michael Rubin, how did he become a billionaire and why has he got so many celebrity pals? 

Who is Michael Rubin? 

Michael was born in Pennsylvania to Jewish parents, a psychiatrist named Paulette and a veterinarian named Ken. He divorced his first wife, teacher Meegan Rubin in 2011 and the pair share one child, teenage daughter Kylie Rubin. He also has two younger daughters Romi and Gema with Camille who often shares family snaps on her Instagram

Michael is the CEO of Fanatics which is the world's leading provider of licensed sports merchandise. According to Daily Mail he started his entrepreneurial skills from a very young age, he started a business at the age of 12 and then two years later using money from his Bar Mitzvah to open his first store. 

He dropped out of Villanova University and by the age of 21 was already making over $1 million in sales through his sports equipment. After seeing a gap in the market for sports fans to sell their collectibles online he founded GSI Commerce an e-commerce company aged 26 that he sold to eBay for $2.4 billion in 2011.

Michael is currently the executive chairman of Rue Gilt Groupe, an e-commerce portfolio company, which includes RueLaLa.com, Gilt.com, and ShopPremiumOutlets.com. According to Forbes he has an estimated net worth of $11.4 billion. 

How has Michael made so many celebrity friends?

Apart from the fact that Michael is a celebrity in his own right sharing his lavish lifestyle with his 700,000 Instagram followers. It appears to be his ability to connect with people that has helped him build star studded connections. When Meek was imprisoned for violating his parole in 2017 Michael teamed up with Jay-Z, and New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft and other stars and created the REFORM Alliance. 

According to their official website the REFORM Alliance is “a justice system that holds people accountable and redirects back to work and wellbeing leads to stronger families and safer communities. Instead of keeping people trapped in a revolving door from probation/parole to prison.” After Meek’s release from prison he thanked Michael for being one of his biggest supporters.
