As Mike Tindall tees off for his annual celebrity charity golf in 2023, PeopleWorld is wondering whether he is ‘Fore’ or against his relatives Prince Harry and Prince William following claims that Zara has become a ‘royal piggy in the middle’ between the feuding brothers.

Sporting some impressive blue shorts that give off I’m A Celebrity jungle vibes, Mike was seen at his Cure Parkinson’s golf fundraiser alongside celebrities such as Denise Van Outen, Ronan Keating and James Nesbitt, just days after he attended the King’s coronation with wife Zara Tindall.

While the former England rugby captain and Cure Parkinson’s patron is focused on raising awareness and funds for the illness today following his Dad’s battle, Mike and Zara were recently dealt the roles of saving Prince Harry from ‘extreme discomfort’ at the coronation when he faced his family for the first time since Spare, according to royal experts.

As Harry arrived at Westminster Abbey alone on 6 May while Meghan celebrated their son Archie’s fourth birthday across the pond, Zara was seen breaking away from her relatives to go and talk to him before the Duke of Sussex entered with cousins Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie.

Prior to the royal fallout when Harry and Meghan Markle stepped back from royal duties, Zara and Harry had a very close relationship due to their similar age, interests and history, with the Duke even being asked to be a godfather to her daughter Lena.

In light of this, Zara’s ‘duty’ as piggy in the middle between family and Harry seemed quite fitting.

The coronation gesture was not the first time Zara put Harry and Meghan at ease when they were among the royal family as she was seen speaking to the Duchess of Sussex at St Paul’s Cathedral after the Thanksgiving Service for Platinum Jubilee.

Princess Anne’s daughter also rode in the car with Harry last September following the 15 minute vigil in Westminster Hall for the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.

However, while this little piggy went to Meghan and Harry, the little piggy’s partner Mike seemed to ‘stay at home’ in terms of his loyalty to Prince William by avoiding small talk with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex whenever possible.

As we discussed Piers Morgan’s relationship with Harry and William respectively, it seems that Mike might not only favour the Prince of Wales as a result of their close relationship, but also may have been hurt by Harry’s decision to move away due to their once good friendship.

This can be seen not only by a body language expert stating Mike stayed closer to Peter Phillips at the coronation to keep his distance from Harry but also when the former rugby player dodged questions about Harry on his podcast in December 2022.

So while the royal favourites Zara and Mike may have been given the task of offering an olive branch to Harry when his brother and father seemingly ignored him, one may be more willing to play piggy in the middle than the other.
